The Carrom board game is very popular with all age groups. It helps to sharpen your physical and mental skills. However tired or people might be, they always make time to play Carrom. Carrom is known to be a game of control and concentration which can be improved with exercise, yoga, or other pranayamas. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, we would like to help do something to stay fit while enjoying playing Carrom in the real world or on Carrom Club. Let’s dig deeper into how you can do that.
While playing the game on your smartphone, try to avoid overly comfortable places like a sofa or a bed. Try sitting on a chair to keep your back straight. Keeping your back straight helps in correcting your posture, so why not do it while playing your favorite game?
You might think that drinking water is not a traditional exercise for your body, but water is essential for your body. Drinking water also helps in improving brain power. So before you begin your game, make sure you drink at least one glass of water and another after you finish your game.
Stretch Your Fingers
Carrom is also known as the game of fingers. Fingers are that part of your body that helps you either win or lose in Carrom. So make sure you stretch your fingers before and in between the game so that you have the best results on the board or on the screen!
3*3 Grid Exercise
This is a technique-cum-exercise. The idea is to keep 9 Carrom men in a 3×3 grid on the right side of the board and try to pocket 1 Carrom man at a time in the right pocket with a single stroke. Whenever you fail, try again. This technique is known to improve your focus and hand-eye coordination.
The Lying Down Posture
Looking back at our childhood, it is not new to know that a Carrom board game might go on for hours! After an extensive session like this, make sure you lie down for some time with your head facing the ceiling and eyes closed so that your mind and body can relax. This posture is called the Shavasana in yoga.
We hope these exercises help you during as well as after playing Carrom. Leave a comment in the comment section below if there are any more exercises one can take while playing Carrom. Happy Gaming! 🙂
